| We have about $2k to spend from YMCA cookie sale. This is for daisies, and not every girls plan to stay at the troop next year. We don't have any first aider, so we can't do outdoor camping. Any suggestions of paid activities that we can do outdoor before mid June ? They are all 5/6 year old in MoCo. Thank you. |
Sorry mean girl scout cookie sale |

Our troop had an end of year tea party at Hillwood:

They are really young...but maybe horseback/pony riding?
What about a river cruise. Where I have visited, there have been kid science oriented boat cruises. I don't see the kind of expensive but fun cruises that I've been on elsewhere. I found some free educational boat tours. https://doee.dc.gov/service/boattours https://www.nps.gov/choh/planyourvisit/great-falls-canal-boat-rides.htm It's not outdoors but maybe get the kids prepped for First Robotics next year? There may be centers or camps that could host a robotics experience. https://blog.gscm.org/2018/08/07/girl-scout-daisies-go-on-an-aqua-adventure-in-first-lego-league-jr/ |
| Is the carousel still at Wheaton Regional Park? Or did they already move it further north? Either way, a little train ride and carousel always makes kids happy. You can maybe book a park shelter, get a large order of cupcakes, and buy giant reusable outdoor games. |

Boat ride and horse riding are great ideas
Daytime camping where you learn camping skills-- they will love it. Put up a tent or two for shade, let them grill, play outside. Hire someone to teach them a bit of First Aid and make First Aid kits. |
| That’s a lot of money, maybe a group class at cookology? |
| The girls would love an outing to Build a Bear. |
| For the above, sorry I skipped over the "outdoors" part! If you are open to an inside activity, though, Build a Bear would probably be a hit. |

Sandy springs adventure park is amazing! They are a little young, but still could be fun. If not save it for when they are mostly 7! This isn’t outdoors- but a sleepover at the Maryland science museum, Baltimore aquarium or Smithsonian has always been on my girls’ lists.
We also did a water park “birthday” party for one end of year celebration. It was actually cheaper than renting a space and paying for admission. As an aside, getting trained as a first aider is pretty easy (and worth it for the leaders). It’s the camping certification that’s a PITA. |
| Can girl scout hire a paid certified first aider using troop money to do outdoor camping for daisies if no one is certified ? |
Or overnight camping |
| We did the ropes course at Sandy Spring with troop money. Also had a pizza party at a playground |
