DC Soccer level white

Anonymous
Hi,

We are new to DC Soccer. My kid did a tryout and qualified for a spot in the White tier. What does it mean? Thanks

Go to the DC Soccer website, then click on Travel, then click on Travel Coaching Staff. You should see charts that list all of the teams, and all of the levels/colors for each team, plus coaches names. One chart for boys, another for girls. The highest level is Blue, so that is considered the "first/best" team. White is the third team.

Does anyone know about coaches for next year?

Try another club. You don’t want to pay that much to be on the bottom team.

Congrats as it is always nice to have an offer in hand. You can always explore other clubs if you want to test the market. Ultimately, it may depend on level of experience. So new to travel or transferring from another club. Others can probably speak more to the potential team dynamic if there is a specific age group you are evaluating.

Given that I am new at this (my kids were doing development soccer until now), can you explain a bit what you mean? Should we stick with PPA?

We also have other kids and the big pull for DC Soccer is that practices are always nearby. Thank you

DC is a big club for rec and a small club for travel. the third team there is glorified Rec at best. DC Soccer's third or fourth teams will be worse than many passionate Rec players.
