What do podcast bros like Rogan, Tate, Peterson etc. say about capitalism?

I know they hate the left and liberals but they also rail against the elite and the establishment. So I'm curious what they say about capitalism

So what do they say about capitalism? Do they say unbridled capitalism and survival of the fittest builds character and makes tough, strong men?

You should listen for yourself. It’s an easy question to answer. Start with Rogan.

Does ChatGPT have those transcripts? That could be a good option to get a summary.

I can’t listen to Joe Rogan. It makes my teeth hurt. Plus, I think vitamins are a scam.

Why does my doctor tell me to take a vitamin and has prescribed high dose vitamin D for me? Is he a scammer?

It’s a good question. I can’t recall any of them talking about it in a serious way with a serious academic.

Did your doctor test you and determine your vitamin D level first? Does your doctor invest in vitamin companies?

Why don't you listen to them and let us know?

Why do we have to do your homework?

Yes, he did and it was low. Is my doctor colluding with the testing company? I need to report him to the AMA!

Are you this dense? Joe Rogan has no idea whether his listeners have deficits. He does invest in vitamin companies.

The poster said "vitamins are a scam." Are you telling me that college-educated poster is wrong or illiterate?

The only one I'm at all familiar with is Peterson. Many years ago. He didn't talk about capitalism or work at all, really. It was more like psychology/self-help. He's an academic in philosophy and seems like one. Ideas, prescriptions for living. I didn't have the sense he was focused on economics at all but maybe that's changed.

They all worship Milton Friedman. Milton was the anti-New Deal economist who taught at University of Chicago and won a Nobel Prize for gems such as:

Greed is good.
Privatize everything - especially water, electricity, schools and hospitals.
Whatever is good for the shareholder is good for the country - even if it means people can't afford their electricity.

Also :

The minimum wage means people with less skills won't be able to work.
Bureaucracy is the death of all sound work.

There is no such thing as a free lunch (ie, if we feed kids, you pay for it - completely ignoring the externalities that result - if we feed kids, we have a healthier society, more people can work, kids can learn and be more educated, less crime etc.)

Milton Friedman was wrong about *everything.* He wanted to tear down all the good ideas that helped America after the Great Depression. He advised Ronald Reagan - and that's when everything started to go wrong.

OP should do the reading themselves. Relying on someone to spoon feed information is ignorance.

Not saying that PP’s summary is correct or not. Just saying that people need t do the work if they’re curious. Unless they aren’t actually curious…

I’m telling you it’s not a gotcha to fail to read and comprehend surround text.
