| Honestly, does soccerwire cover the best girls to follow (many of them are) for showcases, or do clubs and/or families pay to get specific kids highlighted? Not hating the game, just wanting to understand it. |
Families pay and their kids get promoted, clubs pay 💰and get promoted and ranked. 💰 💰 |
It is almost like soccer is a business and none of this is about the kids. |
|
Sometimes though in their general articles they do feature kids who don’t pay. The paid players usually have a snapshot off to the side or a social media post.
My player and some of their teammates unexpectedly got written up and we definitely dont subscribe or pay and our club is way too cheap to pay. It seemed like maybe they were covering a tournament or something because they covered a bunch of players from the same event. |

| Fake news. |
| If you don’t care about how much money it is go ahead and do it . Won’t hurt. |
Depends ... How quickly do you want your kid to have their info all over the Internet? |
| Reeks of desperation. What happens on the field will always proves who deserves the attention not some parent pay to promote website |
| The only benefit to it is for parent's egos. |
| The only thing I see that is realistic is the TopDrawer IMG Top 150/200. Almost every single girl in those rankings commit to P4 schools. That all I really look at but part of those ranking are based on mentions from articles, USYNT ID and Camp invites, and ECNL/GA Player awards. |
