We are invited there in Oct for a big wedding (partners kid from my husbands law firm) It happens to be our anniversary weekend so we want to stay in the best hotel? Any recommendations? Was thinking Four Seasons? Have not been to Boston in many many years. |
If money is no object I would choose Raffles Boston. It’s brand new and there are no hotel rooms as beautiful as theirs in the city. The Four Seasons can’t compete with Raffles. |
It depends--do you just want to brag about where you stayed or want a comfortable weekend? There are more than enough big name luxury hotels in Boston. I like the Mandarin Oriental, but others have great waterfront views. If you want something less impersonal, I would recommend The Eliott, The Lenox or Hotel Commonwealth.

Raffles or Four Seasons
Boston has two Four Seasons. The one near the public garden is a lovely location, best in the city for location and the hotel is older but just went through a significant refurbishment The one on Dalton is a new skyscraper, much more modern. Still a great location in back bay |
I always like the kimpton brand hotels. They are very nice but have a trendy vibe. They have one right on the commons. We’ve stayed there before and loved it. |
What about 15 Beacon? I haven’t stayed there but friends who have rave about it. |
We loved the Four Seasons near the public gardens. The staff was wonderful, they have a car that can take you anywhere within a certain distance and people watching during breakfast was a fun start to the day. |
