Leak in ceiling coming from sliding door above

How long before this leads to wood rot/mold? I guess I have to open the whole affected part of the ceiling now?

What about home insurance, worth asking if they will cover remediation and repair? What if joists are affected do they cover? I know they don’t usually cover exterior/roofs.

It’s probably sliding door but how do you really know? Water is weird. I’d contact roofer to investigate.

Stop the leak. No more worries about rot. Has it been doing it for years? If not, it's fine.
