Some people on Twitter X (I know!) said that this, and particularly point 4, is the beginning of martial law. Please talk me off the ledge and tell me why it isn't. Thank you.

It has been and will be used to stop people from protesting. |
The hangman has become the judge. |
They are going to need martial law when there is nothing on the shelves and people get desperate. |
Who decides what 'endanger citizens' means? |
Law enforcement. It's their job. We have laws. |
Dear Leader, of course. |
Who decides who is law enforcement? |
No, the answer is the courts. The courts decide. |
Yes, it’s exactly what it looks like. It’s timed for the many scheculed protests that have been planned for May Day (5/1) and the likely disarray that will surely follow from the empty shelves that will be coming soon in response to Trump’s completely unnecessary tariffs. This has been in the planning for quite some time. |
This. Martial Law is the only way to stop the MAGA revolt that's going to happen. |
Long after people are terrorized and lives are ruined by Trump’s brown shirts. |
There is already codified law. I'm sure people here are intelligent enough to determine what behavior endangers the public. I know it's a tough concept to wrap your heads around but law enforcement's purpose is to enforce the established laws. |
If this is a serious question I'd be happy to answer it. |
You guys never took civics? Law ENFORCEment enforces the law, they do not get to interpret the law. Except in an authoritarian regime. |
