Best Source for MCPS news?

Hi, I’m looking for the best source of MCPS news. Website is preferable because I don’t do social media too much and I don’t want someone advocating for anything. Just the facts. Thanx

It does not exist.

Unfortunately there really isn’t one any more. Bethesda Beat used to be great for this when Caitlyn Peetz was covering MCPS - now their coverage is minimal. Moderately MoCo and Montgomery Perspective have some info, especially budget.

I would say moco show as well. They publish press releases but also have tons of original articles on schools both MCPS and private.

Me again - I will say I've found the community testimony MCPS links before board meetings to be a good source of information. It's interesting to hear what students, staff, and community members are bringing up. At the last meeting several teachers talked about shortcomings in CKLA and ways to improve it for a variety of groups.

DCUM is my source because there is so little out there.

Dcum is them best way to get stories from real teachers. It is unfiltered and no pr bs and generic news talking points. The news only says that there is a shortage. They never ask why except for low pay. They never address corruption.

I love coming here for news, but it’s all reported with a lot of bias (from teacher POV, parent POV, etc.). Looking for somewhere where I do not have to deal with that and can just be at peace after I see the updates
