Louis Theroux - New documentary "The Settlers"

Has anyone already watched Louis's new documentary? His style of interviewing may not be “combative” enough for some people, and I’ve seen it said that he’s too “friendly” at times, but it’s disarming and it breaks down a lot of barriers. He gets people to open up and tell you exactly who they are.

Some of the craziness that happens:
• IDF soldiers show up with guns and lasers pointed as his crew while interviewing Palestinians. The Palestinians aren't phased because they're used to it
• Louis interviews the “godmother of the settler movement," Daniella Weiss, who admits Netanyahu wants to put settlers in Gaza
• So many of the settlers have openly genocidal views. One Rabbi says "All of Gaza, all of Lebanon should be cleaned of these 'camel riders'"
• Almost every settler, when pressed by Louis as to why they do the crimes they are doing, use religion as a justification

The BBC is pressured into removing it by Israel so it may not be available for viewing much longer.

Louis Theroux did a good documentary about a decade ago on the ultra zionists. You can a sense of why Israel is the way it is because these are the people who are in power and justify their actions through their scriptures.

It's a great documentary but one fault is that it portrays the views of for the people be interviewed as extremist when it is really much more mainstream. Essentially everyone in Israel is required to do military service in the IDF where the bulk of their time is spent protecting and helping settlers do land grabs. This is also evidenced by the fact that there is only a very tiny opposition voice to the expanding settlements despite the fact that they're illegal under international law.
