They threatened to rape her and called all sorts of disgusting things as well as kicking her and throwing traffic cones at her. Ironically, it's being reported she is Jewish and has an Israeli passport

If these were Arabs, they’d probably be arrested for attempted murder.

Fact is this community is a very strong voting bloc in NYC and pols are reluctant to challenge them. I’ve seen it again and again. They have been working various systems in NY for ages, and somehow get state funding for their religious schools that don’t come close to meeting NY educational standards. Many of them manage to qualify for food stamps and other state support. They also had a huge special ed services hussle going. Meanwhile people are outraged that new immigrants are getting things for free.

It’s mind boggling to me that they are so emboldened. But again, the vote.
