Is there a shifting attitude in Israeli society towards the killing of Palestinian and suffering? Polls last year, showing that 34% population believed Netanyahu's military response was not enough against Gaza. However, most recent polls from last month showing a much stronger desire to end the conflict.

While the human ordeal of Gaza is largely absent from mainstream Israeli media, there is a small but growing movement calling for an end to the war and to stop the massacre of human life in Gaza. A growing number of letters written by army and air force reservists, retired and even serving officers, have demanded the government end the war, not only in the name of Israeli lives but also innocent civilians in Gaza.

Standing Together, a progressive movement of Israelis and Palestinians, decided to hold an anti-war protest on Holocaust Memorial Day that was primarily dedicated to the children who had been needlessly killed by Israel in Gaza.

Yet after applying for permission, police told the group they were banned from holding up posters of children killed in Gaza and certain phrases such as “ethnic cleansing” were also forbidden. It was not the first time activists had faced such pushback; at other protests, police have regularly confiscated any posters bearing the faces of Gaza’s killed women and children or used force to break them up.

Resigned Israeli Air Force pilot Yonatan Shapira calls out Israel’s genocide in Gaza and says his country is led by “Jewish supremacist Nazis” who receive Western support.

Shapira, who served as a rescue squadron leader of Israeli air force before resigning in 2003, said Israeli warplanes were sent to Gaza, the occupied West Bank, and Lebanon to kill civilians.

“I began to realise that these were acts of terrorism,” he said.

There is a small but growing population of Israelis recognizing their nations war crimes

The vast majority of Israelis, American Jews and according to recent reports in politico from Canada, Canadians Jews, continue to support the Israeli policy of the destruction of Gaza and the West Bank.

It's hard to change views when the native Israel population is essentially indoctrinated at a very early age. I highly recommend people watch the documentary "Israelism" to get a sense of how it occurs.
