In general, don’t do anything just for college applications.
My son stopped wrestling completely by 9th grade because it was too much of a grind and commitment. But it’s a great sport. Before then, the most serious wrestlers trained year round in private wrestling clubs. There are many in the area. If you son wants to become more serious, because he loves wrestling, we can help you find a club if you post your location.
He likes it and wants to train year around. My concern is that it takes too much time. So, I want to know whether it helps college application. If not, I would suggest him spending more time on other activities. We are in Maryland.
