Iced or hot coffee with a slice of pizza for breakfast or lunch or dinner. Why isn’t this a thing? I’m not sure I’ve seen anyone having both together.
|
It is a thing for me sometimes. I have coffee every morning, like to eat savory foods for breakfast, and try to finish leftovers, so I frequently have last night’s dinner with coffee. I wouldn’t say it’s a match made in heaven, though. |
| I mean, for me, that would be a heartburn recipe. |
| I wouldn’t drink coffee with any food, except perhaps a small piece of chocolate or some such. |
| I'm sure it is, OP, in workplaces where someone orders pizza for the group and also gets a coffee order at the coffee place next door. |
| I just threw up a little in my mouth. Thanks, OP. |
| Pizza and coffee are a weird combination. |
| OMG you are a genius!!! |
Pizza is a savory food. It's eaten for lunch in restaurants in a number of countries. People also have coffee after lunch in many Latin and Mediterranean countries (Italy, Spain, France, Greece, Turkey, Central and South America). So... why wouldn't someone have a slice of pizza with a side salad then have their little digestive espresso with tiny chocolate at a cafe table? I've seen them do it! - French person. |
Come to my house. Cold pizza and cold coffee. Breakfast of champions |
|
I’ve done it when I needed a cup of coffee and had some leftover pizza on hand.
But it’s not something I’d seek out. It’s a weird combo. |

Ranch with most things yeah
But not coffee - that needs cream Let us be real here -Flip Driscoll |
I was going to say cold pizza with hot black coffee is the perfect breakfast! To horrify more posters, make that white pizza. |
Coffee is acid/bitter. Pizza sauce is acid/sweet. The cheese is a little bit of fat. It's not that crazy a combination. |
| Too acidic |
