Congrats to all the local U15 players on the first national team camp!

| The troll is strong with this one. Well done, way to start your Thursday with biting satire. |
| No players from mid-Atlantic. Has BP at VDA lost his touch? |
Why not post the last 5 rosters since February? |
it appears so |
|
Or things are merit based and the players around here have gotten their chance, it could also mean they're giving others a look now too.
Hard to find the best if you create a pool and never look outside of it. Look at Emma Hayes and how shes handling the roster at the senior level, it has NEVER been like that in years past. |
| None from N Atlantic either. |
| But what about all those US Talent ID social media posts from local clubs? Could it be those are just for marketing and coaches use them to recruit players and parents think their players are much better than reality. |
Need to move out of this area if you want to find real soccer development. We are in the minor leagues. |
Talent ID is a little bit of both, generally always SOME sort of merit to them, but also there is a LOT of favoritism involved in the decision and at the end of the day the posts to social media are ALWAYS done for marketing, promotion, and FOMO. |

7 from California hmmmm 🤔
Only 1 from Georgia, which is surprising. With US Soccer relocation to GA, there was a lot of kids from GA sent to the regional camps. I'd expect more from GA in the future. But yes, 7 from CA? Wow, talk about an influence. Aside from great year round playing conditions, what else are they doing that no one else is? |
edit...GA referring to Georgia, not Girls Academy. (Don't want to start a flame war.) |
CA has 50 million people. |
I think this will be the norm moving into the future as they significantly increased the number of kids selected for the regional Talent ID camps. But, the reality is, they still have to neck it down to so few kids for the final National Team Camp. I think they have both Talent ID Centers and Talent ID Camps that give a look to 240 kids, but then the final camp is 24 kids? So yes, there will be lots of Social Media shout outs to all 240 kids from the different clubs, which is a great feather in their cap, but it is still a difficult jump after that. |
Like him or not and he has his flaws, especially when it comes to his favoritism, he's probably the hardest working girls director in the area. |
