Definitely.

My dad took me to my very first pro golf tournament at the U.S. Open at Oakmont in 1973. It’s not very far away. We would go on to attend many other tournaments, including the Masters in the ‘90’s. I have wonderful memories of those tournaments.

You can stay at the first tee and see lots of your favorites, or walk along with some of your favorite groups, or sit at a green for a while and watch all the approach shots, which is my favorite thing to do. Enjoy!

I used to get tickets from work every year. Some people like to go Thurs-Fri because it's less crowded and you can walk and see everyone pretty easily and it's more chill. I went Sunday the years Tiger was good and he was followed by an absolute mob of people. Worth it because I love golf. I would pick a tee and stay there so you can see everyone come through because the good spots get taken quickly if you're trying to walk the course (on Sunday).

Come to the Senior open in Colorado. The last time the Broadmoor hosted a bear ran across the course during play.

Yes, absolutely.

Attending a golf tournament is a special kind of sporting event. Imagine if your nosebleed 400 section Nationals ticket allowed you to walk onto the field and stand along the 1st base line.

Golf tournaments are unique in that you as the attendee get nearly free reign of the course. You can camp out on one tee or green and see everyone's shots, or you can follow you favorite player around all day. The really cool thing is that they give you the chance to walk along all 18 holes of a course you'll probably never in a million years have a chance to play.

Yes there are the lines and crowds and expensive concession that you have to deal with at any sporting event, but personally I think golf tournaments are the most fun of any sport to watch in person.

Golf and tennis? Never. Horse show jumping? Maybe. Dog sled races? Sure.
