Cook it or toss it?

I bought haddock fillets from the seafood counter at my local Safeway on April 20th. The packaging says it was packaged on April 20 and sell by April 21. It's been in my fridge since I bought it on the 20th. Can i cook it tonight, on April 23?

Fish? No!

I would cook it if it smells fresh. If it smells fishy, toss.

Fish falls under:

“When in doubt, throw it out!”

Of course, that's nothing.

Give them a sniff test if in doubt. You WILL notice if they are bad, it would be hugely obvious.

I've eaten week old fish in ceviche many many times. Not even cooked.

If it smells like sweaty vag then don’t eat it.
