Youngkin says over 500 criminal illegal immigrants arrested

Virginia Governor announced today that the Virginia Homeland Security Task Force(VHSTF) passed 500 arrests of criminal illegal immigrants. There were 132 affiliated gangs and other transnational organized crime(TOC).

“Thanks to the brave men and women of our federal and state law enforcement, more than 500 criminal illegal immigrants, including more than 130 gang-members, are off of Virginia’s streets and facing justice for their crimes,” said Governor Glenn Youngkin. “All Virginians should be proud that our State Troopers and Corrections Officers are a part of this incredible team of over 200 law enforcement officers. I am grateful for the leadership of President Trump, Attorney General Bondi, Secretary Noem, Director Patel, and Acting Director Lyons. What’s happening in Virginia is a model that should be replicated all across the country.”

Criminal illegal immigrants? So we have known about them and just ignored them? Or were they serving time? Or have they been convicted of having tattoos and wearing hats? How can we know?

As a Virginia resident, I’m glad to hear that so many criminals are off our streets. However, I hope that more stringent standards were used to determine their criminality than have been used to date by the Trump administration.

This is great news. And, there are likely at least that many more that need to be arrested and deported.

Maryland could learn a lesson or two from VA. How many Maryland residents need to die at the hands of criminal illegal aliens before the state gets serious about cleaning these people out

They were identified and arrested by a combined federal and state task force.

PP here. I guess you didn't read the bolded. I'm not hoping my breath that this group of "criminal illegal immigrants" was screened any more closely than the group shipped to El Salvador, but I hope they are. And I hope they receive due process. Hopefully the press is investigating so some light is shed on the process.
