Al Gore would have been a great president. He identified climate change as an existential threat 25 years ago. Think how much good could have been done on that issue if he had been elected in 2000. Yes, he would have had to deal with 9-11, but we likely would have just struck at Afghanistan and we would have avoided the Iraq quagmire.

Yep - this. And he was teased for saying he would lock up budget surpluses that Pres Clinton left to help fund the social security shortfall...but just imagine if that would have been done.

3 biggest Dem errors in my lifetime:

1) Not fighting for Gore or at least supporting him in re-running for a second time.
2) Not allowing Bernie to run a fair and even pres nominee race when clearly there was a populist swing
3) Supporting Biden launching his second run
