Targets at best for a top student…

Most Americans will still end up at in-state publics and/or stay within 100 miles of home, so those schools still probably won’t be on the radar. But for umc households open to broader geographic reach, I look for applicants to top schools outside of the U.S.

A lot of dmv students at private and public are going to McGill this fall.

How do you know?
What sorts of students?
Do you prefer it to St Andrew or Toronto?

I had a niece attend McGill, maybe 7 or 8 years ago. My sister called it the Harvard of Canada

I'd predict for American undergraduates, there won't be a huge change in applications to Canadian or U.K. schools vs. U.S. universities.

For graduate programs, though — I can predict non-U.S. universities will get more Americans applying, if grad-level research programs continue to be slashed in the United States.
