Savannah bananas lottery question

The lottery emails for tickets went out but the identity confirmation process asks for consent for biometric processing, including uploading ID. this feels.. excessive, and I’m really uncomfortable sharing that info. Is this really the process to move on to the next step in buying tickets?

It's to cut down on scalpers which is a core part of their fans first approach.

Totally get being hesitant about allowing biometric processing. It's everywhere now.

Have not done this, but I am guessing they want to make sure the tickets are actually going to real people/fans, not bots or tix scalpers who will resell them for $$$.

I am annoyed i did all that and entered two different lotteries and they are that popular that I couldn't get a chance to buy tickets. Are they really that popular?

Although it said it might ask for me to upload ID, I didn't have to.

Last year I didn't even get this far in the lottery, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

I also got the lottery email today, but so did another friend. So...looks like it's not a small list. Anyone know what percentage actually get the chance to buy tickets?

I did the confirmation and did not have to upload anything. I just had to verify my email and cell phone numbers, both of which I'd provided when originally registering.

I do get the sense that it's a decent number of people who got this email, so I don't necessarily feel any closer to getting tickets than I did before.

My sister, myself, and my ex entered the lottery. One exDH got the email.

I only had to verify my phone number, no ID check was needed.

+1. I just had to verify my phone number.

I had that question too! How many people are stuck in late timeslots or standby?
Anonymous
For those of you that got standby, what time does your email say you’ll get notified? Trying to see if everyone has the same time or if that is staggered too. Mine is 1:30.

Mine is noon.

We entered both sets of grandparents along with each of us, and only DH got a time slot to “maybe” get tickets, so I do feel a little closer than before. The time slot is 1 pm though, so I’m guessing we’ll be out of luck.

I’m really impressed with how hard they are trying to make it as fair as possible. If we don’t get tickets, I won’t feel like it’s because scalpers stole them all.

I have an 11 am time slot, so we’ll see what happens.
