With a knife?

That he used to stab two people?

Who were the real victims?

Yes:

"Officers responded just before 1 p.m. following reports of a person with a weapon. Upon arrival, police say they encountered the armed man and, during the encounter, shot him. He was pronounced dead at the scene. No officers were injured."

What? The story says he had a gun, but it doesn’t say anything about a stabbing?

I hate to say it as a county resident, but I think it’s over for that development. You just can’t be a hub for crowds of teens and also attract shoppers.

It was over when they decided to charge for parking when you don’t really have other options.

Bethesda does, and RIO.

It's not that hard:
1. No more face masks
2. Curfews for teens
3. Aggressive use of stop and frisk
4. Aggressive use of pretextual traffic stops

All of these are perfectly legal. If you polled county residents, probably 90% would support these things. Why do we let the thugs control policy?

Umm no, not aggressive use of stop and frisk.
I agree with face masks and teen curfew.

Those of us with health issues NEED to wear masks. As a parent, you give your kid a curfew and monitor them. Not ok to use aggressive tactics.

Face masks are necessary to protect us from COVID.

The responses to my four suggestions are a perfect example as to why this area will never get crime under control. It doesn't have to be this way, but I guess we're resigned to just pasting random crime stories on DCUM and complaining with no solutions.
