Carr’s fight against media
Carr's post yesterday, combined with his recent actions to enforce the news distortion policy, suggest that he is likely to open a proceeding if a formal complaint is lodged against any NBC stations. Carr showed he is willing to investigate news distortion complaints into ordinary editorial decisions when he revived complaints against CBS and ABC that were thrown out under the previous administration.

This is in connection with Abrego but not entirely. He's threatening stations over diversity as well.

If the media took its responsibility seriously and provided the public with impartial, unbiased journalism and news reporting, things like this would never be brought up.

But we don’t have that kind of media in this country. We have one network that panders to the right wing, and 5 that pander to the left wing. And none of them are impartial and unbiased.

So, until the media starts living up to their standards, I’m fine with them being held accountable. Right or left.

Sorry as a liberal there are zero networks pandering to my beliefs. I gave up on tv “news” completely.

The media's responsibility is now to make money. They are corporations with fiduciary obligations.

Unfortunately.

George Zimmermann to police,
'He looks like he's up to no good.'
'Can you tell us what race he is, white, black, Hispanic? '
'He looks black.'

NBC News:
'He looks like he's up to no good. He looks black.'

The pp is pointing out the media removed crucial context. Zimmerman never said "he looks like hes up to no good. He looks black." He was asked and question that prompted the latter statement. But that wasnt reported.

Shouldn't fix and newsmax also be investigated for biased one sided FALSE news. I do believe they both lost lawsuits about their fake reporting

Literally...who cares? NBC investigated themselves and apologized. And it was determined that it was a mistake not deliver it but it went to air so not at all the same as what the FCC is trying to do right now

Daily reminder that everyone targeted should start suing. Specifically the should name individuals in the Trump administration with the government as an accessory.

Further, daily reminder that there is nothing that bars anyone from Congress being recalled.

It wasn't a mistake. They wanted to paint Zimmermann in a very negative light.
