Honestly, this seems like the least crazy thing he’s doing. People at the border can lawfully be expelled without a hearing. It gets more difficult when they’re on US soil.

I have no issue with this. We have too many drugs coming across our border. Entire communities have been devastated by illegal drugs brought in via Mexico. We might as well put our military to use for our own country.

Agree. Completely stopping the flow of undocumented immigrants crossing the southern border until Congress can pass sweeping immigration/asylum reform measures is something a majority of Americans support; especially in a post 9/11 American.

Snatching people off the streets in a widespread deportation agenda without being 100% sure they can be rightfully deported is not something Americans want to see and it's one of the many reasons smart people consider Trump and awful POTUS.

Within legal means, maybe. Until Congress passes a bill authorizing using the military to do it, however, using the military to enforce border laws is blatantly illegal:

“Whoever, except in cases and under circumstances expressly authorized by the Constitution or Act of Congress, willfully uses any part of the Army or the Air Force as a posse comitatus or otherwise to execute the laws shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than two years, or both.”

Fentanyl is smuggled in by Americans for an American market.

I hope China doesn’t move backwards on enforcement of controlling the fentanyl precursors. Biden made a lot of progress on this, but very few know about it.

You're correct. Securing the border needs to done in a legal manner. The overwhelming majority of Americans want our borders to be secured in a legal and humane way. I would expect nothing less from Trump other than addressing an issue Americans want addressed but going about it in a manner that is in conflict with our laws, values or best interests.

This exactly. Trump takes something that people want but uses it like a sledgehammer and destroys everything around it. And finds six ways to break the law while he is doing it.

Posse comitatus is as a domestic police force. Border military is fine.
