Bethesda or Potomac for 6 year old boy

These are the only two clubs I'm considering because of location and other factors. I have read all the wonderful other posts about both of these clubs (and have experience with bot, but on the girl's side), so not looking for "which club sucks more" types of answers, not to mention most club issues are not with the really young kids.

I'd like to hear about any relevant and (hopefully) recent experience you had with either club's U7 boy teams. If you can tell me what days of the week they practice and where, that would also be very helpful. So far, BSC is slightly ahead since their new uniform cycle starts next year vs PSA which is midway through their current uniform cycle.

Does your ds have friends at either club? If so, go there. If not don’t base it on uniform cycle. See if you can attend practices and talk to the coaches. Go watch games and see if there’s anything that stands out. Lastly ask your ds the next day if he liked one over the other.

No friends at either and I'm not really going to base it on the uniform cycle, but all things being equal it does have 2% sway power. I plan to take him to both tryouts, why not he likes to play... but was hoping for some recent feedback. Tryouts are not really the same as actual practices or league games.

HE'S 6. CHECK THEM BOTH OUT FOR YOURSELF AND PICK ONE.

HE'S 6. IT'S NOT THAT SERIOUS.

Go to a practice or tryout and pick the one with the coach who’s good with 6 year olds. They won’t all be.

Go to wherever is cheaper and you see no bullies...

Obviously neither

Go to one of the several boutique clubs with excellent coaches who actually know the game and know how to teach young players

That's where many of the Bethesda's get their players from

I love how some people actually take this forum seriously. 90% of them are trolls.
Stop being lazy and go check them out yourself and you can form your own opinion. How about that?

While Bethesda will pick off top players from the boutique clubs, the vast majority of the first team players on Bethesda's younger A1 (and now top cohort teams) come up through the Bethesda u-little program.

If you are going to come in later and have aspirations of being on a Bethesda top team, your son will have to be very, very good.

Why go to Potomac? I would suggest msi or Sam soccer. Most kids don’t start travel until u9.
