Listing race in email signature?

Anonymous
I just received an email from the school psychologist at my kid's school (she processes the paperwork for him to potentially get speech therapy) and her signature was like this:

Larla Smith, School Psychologist (she/her, white) and then there was a hyperlink for white with this link: https://iel.org/wp-content/uploads/2017/07/G10-courageous-conversation-protocol-overview.pdf

Is this common practice now? I've never seen it.

Lmao. If anyone were to use identifiers it would be me: showing that I am multiracial, bisexual, a woman, a trauma survivor. My last job required (“suggested”) gender pronouns, which I ignored. It’s pure foolishness. We should ALL treat each other well and with consideration.

When will the madness end?

That's incredibly navel-gazing. I am multinational/multiracial/multicultural. I've lived on different continents and I know identity signifiers don't mean crap when you change locales and cultures.

I saw a "therapy" practice website in which the white providers all mentioned that they are "white-bodied".

Maybe this is working for them, but I somehow doubt it.

For a therapist that's good.
They'll reflect yourself back to you and not insert their own perspective

white-body radiation

I just don’t worry about this stuff and I’m much happier. No one’s email signature is hurting me. I’m happy to use the pronouns someone requests. It only takes 20 seconds to listen to a land acknowledgment even if you think it’s dumb.
I think religion is dumb but I don’t get my panties in a twist if someone says grace before a meal or tells me to have a blessed day.

Once I signed up for a list that required pronouns
I used Larla Lastname (yo/heyyou)
