Don't open until you've watched the entire Black Mirror season

Common People was good but a little longer than it needed to be to tell the story. Nothing we really hadn't already seen before in Black Mirror but still well done and it has its funny moments. The wife dying in the end wasn't a surprise, the husband was but that seemed unnecessary.

Bete Noire was highly entertaining. Great ending. Super funny episode. Only issue I had was that while Black Mirror is a show about futuristic technology, the multiverse machine was a bit much.

Hotel Reverie went on way too long. Good episode but didn't really go anywhere.

Plaything had the best twist of any of them. Had me riled up that the AI things won and wiped out humanity. I was sure the cops searching his flat were going to cut power to his servers.

Eulogy was a nice episode, didn't really have that great of a twist though. It was obvious that the hostess was her daughter, they should have made him the father.

Into Infinity was better than the original. A really fun episode, although it was telegraghed that Bob was going to get killed by his own knife.

All of the little "Easter Eggs" references to prior episodes were distracting from the new episodes.

Ok, just finished. Here’s my take:

Common People - probably the best episode this season. The saleswoman (Tracee Ellis Ross) was perfectly smug and unctuous and who among us can’t relate to the constant upping of charges and tiers? But how did the husband die? I thought he was going back into the room to continue with his gruesome money making online scheme?

Bete Noire - good episode though very sad when the blond girl detailed how she was bullied.

Hotel Reverie - awful episode. Long, pointless, and terrible acting by Issa Rae. Very unbelievable that she was supposed to be an A-list actress.

Plaything - good twist, but it went on too long. And I thought it would have a happy ending. Thought all of mankind would be kind and harmonious. Silly me.

Eulogy - another good episode, but again, too long. The pacing is so slow in many of these episodes. Love Paul Giamatti.

Into Infinity - waaaaaay too long. Jimmi Simpson always plays a total ahole so well. That seems to be all he can do.

PP again - nothing can compare to the first couple of Black Mirror seasons. Each episode was so well-crafted and SO DARK.

Common People was important as a statement. I hated it but it wasn’t meant to be liked so much as reflected upon in terms of how the healthcare system is predatory.

Bête Noire I thought was forgettable and just ok.

Hotel Reverie to me was just beautiful and such a love story. Issa Rae wasn’t meant to be a deep actress: she starred in blockbusters and wanted a different role. Emma Corrin was amazing as always.

For me, Hotel Reverie is #1. It had me thinking deeply about how genuine people's feelings will become for AI and how we will treat that phenomenon as a society.
