I felt this episode was a big letdown compared to the S1 opener.

Joel was sidelined and Ellie was an insufferable insubordinate brat.

The S1 premiere was like a breathtaking movie. Hard to have high hopes for the the rest of S2 but let’s see!

Why does Ellie suck so bad?

What an overconfident whiny douche. Yeah yeah we get it writers. Tough female who's alpha. Gee, like this hasn't been written 1000 times. The beginning where she's wrestling a 200+ lbs dude and submitting him while she's 5'2" and maybe 100 lbs soaking wet? Lol. He would have easily kicked her up and body slammed her into acoma while in the arm bar. So ridiculous they try to write her like she's superman.

I have a feeling this season will suck because Ellie is just so nerve grating.

I don't know, I have a teenager. Despite the fact that he's a really good kid he really just sucks as a teen. They are emotional, come at your for no reason at all and really stupid (he's a TJ student so not actually stupid). So her characters actions are believable to me.

Believable but not enjoyable to watch. Bella gets so much flack for their looks but I can’t buy them as a physical brawler.

I was unprepared. I had a feeling it was going to happen this season based on comments from the video game fans after the end of last season, but I wasn't expecting it to happen so soon.

Unless we get flashbacks from the last five years, I’m out. His acting is stellar. No other character has that presence onscreen. She cannot carry this show. This is not a Stranger Things situation where you have a strong ensemble cast or strong female lead.

I think a lot of people are unfair about Bella Ramsey because they don't like the way they look. Yes their character can be a bit bratty, but their acting in the last episode was really good. Bella does not deserve all the toxic hate they are getting online. They are only 21. I really hate the internet sometimes. So much hate.
