Uterine polyp found

I am currently seeing an RE because of recurrent miscarriages. My last one was in August and I had a d&c on 8/3. I just had an SHG done to check my uterus and the doctor found what she thinks is a polyp. I'm confused as to why I would have a polyp now when I just had a d&c 6 weeks ago. Do they grow that quick? Also, she said she didn't want to remove it until she gets all my immune testing back in two weeks. I'm not sure what that testing would have to do with the removal of a polyp, but I really wanted to get it removed as soon as possible. I heard some people say you need a d&c to get it removed. I hate to go through that again when I just went through it. Is that the only way to remove a polyp and is it absolutely necessary to remove it before another pregnancy? I also heard that progesterone can shrink them. I'm just so new to all of this.
