| what company does your private contract with for lunches and what do you think of them? High quality nutritious food or just school lunch junk? |

| sodexo. Eh. Several years it was quite good with lots of appealling alternatives. It has gone downhill, since. I'm assuming the economy is a factor. Too many chicken nugget and burrito days. That said, my dc's used to go to moco public school and that food was horrendous. I wouldn't let them eat it. I made lunch everyday. I mean please, "Chips Ole!" as in chips and salsa as a main vegetarian course option & hotdogs that could bounce really high. |

Chips Ole isn't chips and salsa, it's chips and chili.
Still not terribly healthy but ... |

| Our school has its own lunch staff. Kids have 5 different menus to choose from including vegetarian and healthy/low fat. Nothing like hot dogs or pizza. Lots of fruit and veggies with options like chicken breasts, turkey burgers, asian stir-fry, hummus dishes. Gets great reviews from the kids and parents. |

| OP here, we would not have the option for a full lunch staff, so I would really love to hear from those schools who get catering. But those meals sound great! |
