Car title/registration Issue

Anonymous
As the only surviving child of my mother, when she passed away she left me everything(house, car, land etc). The issue is my mother's car is registered in Florida, I leave in Maryland and I'm not on the title. Does anyone know what I need to do to get the titled in my name and get car registered in Maryland ?

Poke around the Florida DMV site. First thing is to get the car titled in your name. That needs to happen in Florida. Then you can retitle in Maryland.

Not correct at all. You bring the FL title and executor paperwork to a MD MVA.

Same thiing. You need to sign the title over so it becomes in your name. florida has easy mechanisms to do so. They have a great deal of experience with dead folk leaving cars to northern relatives.
