Age Cut-off and Class Assignment

For a summer born child who is in 5th grade (outside DCPS) but would typically be a younger 6th grader under DCPS age cut-off.
The question is: If this child moves to DCPS next year, would DCPS force the child to be a 7th grader and skip 6th grade altogether? |

| No. I have heard of them forcing kids who didn't go to Kindergarten to first grade. But I have never heard of it in an older grade. |
