MADE Hoops

Anyone have any kids playing this weekend at MADE Hoops in DC? $57 admission was highest I've seen. Place is put together nice and well run. Have noticed the refs have been on the weaker side. Guess with regular leagues going on hard to find the best refs and I'm not even talking my kids games. I saw several blatant back court violations never called plus some other easy calls but I respect the job they do just see not the highest quality
Overall though a good experience and a lot of great basketball been played. A lot of talent in this area.

Is $57 s typo?

Nope, it was actually $57.20. Travel basketball is normally $40-45 for tournaments but some are higher like this.

Yeah it’s a ripoff. They are extorting people that want to watch their kids play

It's a total ripoff. $120 for two parents to watch their kid play hoops

I love that the local shots up place is not charging admission this spring. I know its not the best compwtition but sounds like they hire the same refs

Probably got a wrist slap from the county for charging admissions fees at FCPS facilities for the past few years.

Played Shots Up in the winter and they had the admission fee, Gt out f it most time since I kept score or did the clock. Was a lot of money for them that isn't coming in. Competition in the winter was pretty decent. Only issue if you are coming from Maryland if you play at Mt Vernon or Hayfield you have an hour drive. At least it was 2 games a day and the following weekend off so you didn't have that drive every week.

They got rid of the fees for the spring/summer season
