Better options then Great Wolf Lodge for Spring Break

Anonymous
I have 2 boys ages 7 and 11 and was thinking about bringing them to Great Wold Lodge. We have never been there. I think we would be going to the Williamsburg one.

Are there any better options than Great Wolf? Would be open to flying somewhere for a great water park hotel type.

Thanks!

I think 11 is too old. I’d look at Hershey lodge, not a huge waterpark but you could do the amusement park too

Great Wolf is a lot of fun, we went there a couple times. Chances are you'll run into someone you know going there at spring break. But limit your stay to 2-3 nights, that's enough to get the full experience. Williamsburg has some nice resort hotels, we used to spend the rest of the week there. Yorktown and Jamestown are nice to walk around. If the weather is nice Busch Gardens is the best of the theme parks, I like it better than the ones in Florida.

11 is definitely not too old for great Wolf Lodge. I took four college kids there over winter break and we had a blast. That said, going during peak spring break may not be the greatest idea.

Great Wolf crowds are limited to the hotel guests. It gets packed, but not like Disney or Universal.

Kalahari is a bit better but further away. I say choose based on price.

yes lots of fun stuff to do in massnutten, you can see everything at massresort.com which include the indoor/outdoor waterpark, go carts, pools, adult stuff, and activities on the mountain like zip lines etc.

Are you Mormon or something? Going to a Great Wolf Lodge as a college-age young adult would be embarrassing bordering on creepy.
