What time to get to DCA tomorrow for 9:30am boarding?

Anonymous
Sunday 4/13
Is an hour enough time with TSA Pre? I’ve already reserved parking.

No hour and a half. Boarding is usually half hour before flight which means you need more time.

So you’d arrive at 8?

NP. I’d arrive at 8.

I would be there at 7:30.

We flew out of DCA at 9am today, 4/12. Got there 2.5 hours early. TSA line was long but we got through pretty fast.

How much time did you have at the gate and did you have tsa pre check?

Is 9:30 the flight time?

If 9:30 is the flight time, I would aim to park at 8. But that would be plenty of time for breakfast.

No checked bag, with PreCheck, yes an hour is enough on Sunday morning, it's a pretty quiet time.

Checked bag, 75 minutes is fine.

But I have zero anxiety about these times, have never had any issues. If this makes you anxious thinking about it, add 30 minutes.

No later than 8

When I traveled for work a lot, I would have rolled up to the airport for a 9am flight at 8:10. My goal was to board last and never sit down.

I’d arrive 75 mins before take off, so 8:45 for a 10 am flight. Often cut it to 60 mins.

When I flew out of there a week ago my biggest issue was finding parking. I too had reserved a space in the garage but there were any spaces and many people had just left their cars in nonspaces, making the garage very difficult to maneuver. The signs that show you on each floor what levels have open spaces were absolutely wrong. I mean ZERO spaces. I eventually found a space on the very top floor that is uncovered in a weird corner that was questionable whether it was an actual space.

So give yourself extra time, because it’s not like they have a cone saving a space for you for a specific space. It’s like the hunger games. I don’t know what was going on but my husband had the same problem this week when he flew out of there for work.
