I see rumors of Trump invoking the Insurrection Act of 1807 on April 20. 90 days after he declared a national emergency at the border on January 20. April 19th is the 250th anniversary of the Battle of Lexington and Concord. April 20th is Easter. |

You can't predict crazy. But history has shown he loves anything that consolidates his own power. Project 2025 and other people known to be in Trump's ear want him to use the Insurrection Act to further consolidate power and thwart opposition and protest. They are already sending troops to our borders. The Insurrection Act would further those efforts, as well as allow him to turn the military inward on citizens. Nothing in his history suggest restraint. There are no adults to reign him in. There are greedy psychos advising him. Expect him to make use of the Insurrection Act at some point, and as we've already seen, the courts will not be able to respond quickly enough before irreparable damage is done. It's when, not if with these people. Prepare accordingly. |

You're right. We were totally wrong about: - Roe v. Wade - Trump refusing to accept the results of the election, and trying to stage a coup - Trump stoking the flames of war rather than being some kind of peacemaker - Project 2025 being the playbook for this administration - That trade wars are stupid, bad for the economy, and raise prices for consumers - That Trump and the GOP intend to gut services and entitlements, then turn around and give a tax cut to the wealthy - That Trump is a GD Russian asset Thank goodness we were so wrong, and we aren't watching the fabric of our democracy crumble more by the day! |

April 20 is also Hitler’s birthday. And the day after the next big protest is planned which I assume he’ll use an excuse for whatever BS he does. But he just issued an EO saying the military can take control of the southern border.
