| My spouse says that USCIS is combining the two and you can paid Admin leave through 10/4 and collect $25K. Is this accurate? |

Yes. Do note that if you return to federal employment within 5 years of taking VSIP it must be repaid in full.
I do have concerns about the legality and veracity of the fork. I wouldn’t be shocked if they found ooopsie it was illegal or impermissible and has to be repaid. Hopefully not, but, if it seems too good to be true, it likely is. |
