This news knocked the wind out of me. It is so horrible to hear when anyone has this terrible disease. I was a huge Gray's fan after it came out for over a decade. So sad for him and his loved ones.

Sorry but can you change the title? Eric Dane has ALS, not his character. This is devastating for his family.

Awful. 53 is so young and his girls are still teenagers. ALS is insidious.

I was a huge fan also until they started killing off characters. He was one of my favorites on the show.

Horrific. But much easier to manage when you are rich and can buy the equipment you need. Still a very sad diagnosis for someone in their 50s.

I have always really enjoyed his performances and think he's a better actor than he's given credit for. My Gray's rewatches end when Mark and Lexie die.

ALS is such a horrible disease, I hope he is one of the few outliers who stays asymptomatic for a long time. I am glad that Rebecca dismissed her divorce petition. Their separation has been long and amicable, and they've definitely prioritized their kids. It's good to see that she will stand by him.

If sounds like we stopped watching the series at exactly the same time. So awful, I hope he progresses slowly. And I really hope a cure is coming so that nobody has to face this diagnosis in the future.
