The talk about the ICSA and NCSA pools got me wondering, what are the best pools/facilities on the east coast. NCSA is great because it is so big but there have to be other Universities and Swim Venues that you have been to that were good racing pools.
What are the best facilities on the East Coast? |
|
Greensboro comes to mind.
We also have had fun at the Hampton Aquaplex in VA. |
| Univ of Maryland is one of the nicer facilities on the east coast. |
| We are with Machine and will do a meet at the Triangle Aquatic Center. That is a great pool. One of the nicest facilities we have seen. |
| University of Georgia for sure |
And Georgia Tech |
| Ithaca was nice but only in the summer |
| We love PWCS aquatics center, and they were able to record swim meet ( similar to Olympic style) and post on youtube. |
|
Liberty Natatorium in Lynchburg
Princeton U pool Gabrielsen Natatorium at UGA Greensboro Aquatic Center And definitely Georgia Tech |
|
The NOVA of Virginia pool is incredible
Jeff Rouse is a good venue locally |
No way! Good but not close to the best. Not far from those is the Collegiate School Aquatic Center which was previously the pool for the Olympic Trials in 2008. Locally, the UMD pool is the best around, no contest. Otherwise Georgia Tech and Greensboro probably have the nicest pools on the east coast. |
Oh, you’re totally right. I couldn’t tell if people wanted “best local competition pools” or collegiate/professional and awesome. UGA, Georgia Tech, and Greensboro are the best on the east coast. Bama and Auburn have really great pools, and Princeton’s is nice too. |
NOVA of Va is adding upper level spectator seating and a bunch of other things, it’s going to be amazing. |
| Virginia Tech |
| UMD is the best local pool. |
