My DD was invited to attend a CES program next year. We are on the fence, and having such a hard time deciding if it would be a good fit for her. Academically she does well and I do think the programming and emphasis on projects that the CES she would be attending would be wonderful for her learning style. And, the emphasis on social well being and support there, seemed really positive.
She is a super shy kid and has made a few really close friends at her home school. So we hesitate to pull her away from that. Albeit there has been some drama lately, so also it’s hard to choose simply because she has friends at one school. What happens if we accept and the program just ends up not being a good fit. Can we withdraw? Is there a timeline for doing this…must it happen in the summer before school starts or would we do it during the school year? Just want to make sure if she’s miserable we aren’t completely locked out of returning to our homeschool. |

you should start by asking your school.
ours said a return was possible the following year. I think you should enter with the intention of sticking it out for an entire school year. If you are already looking for the exit maybe you have a sense its too big of a disruption/change? |
