No direct experience, but I frequently pass by it. The recent remodel looks very nice, and I take the kids to the rec center next door often. In my experience, Raymond is not one of the DCPS elems that "listserv parents" in Columbia heights/lower Petworth would consider for the lottery, other than as an in-boundary/proximity safety school.
You didn't specify which grade. If you're looking at PK, then I notice that it's under-enrolled for PK3 w/no waitlist, so your child would likely have a small class size. This is an underappreciated perk. |
