Deporting US Citizens

Do I understand correctly that the government is talking about deporting US citizens next? He says only violent criminals, but what if it is criminals first and then people he just doesn't like next?

You can play "what if's" game forever in your head till you are in a tizzy and straightjacket.

Sounds like they are talking about something similar to Gitmo for "terrorist activity".

Yes. If you don't have due process, you have no chance to prove your identity which means you get deported first to unknown place without recourse. So due process is needed for all arrests for this reason as unpleasant as some may find this.
