SGF Rockville vs SGF Fairfax

Anonymous
We are about to start IVF consultation process with SGF. Shall we go with SGF Rockville or SGF Fairfax location? Or it doesn't really matter, as long as we go with a qualified doctor in either location. Appreciate your thoughts.

I have no opinion of SGF Rockville but I've spent alot of time with SGF Fairfax. I have a 5 and 2 year old from working with Dr. Levens and going to have a 3rd in two weeks. He is a wonderful doctor. Support staff is hit or miss but I think that is everywhere. One thing I like about them is that you barely ever wait like a normal doctor's office. Even my husband who has no patience appreciates it.

My "home" SGF office was Leesburg (LOVED Dr. Khan), but i went to both Rockville and Fairfax for several procedures and weekend monitoring when necessary. I vastly preferred the Fairfax location over the Rockville one. Aside from it being closer to my home, I felt like the staff was more pleasant, less rushed, and ran on time.

Dr Levens is a nice person which can be important during the process, but he told me I needed donor eggs when I was 29 after 2 different protocols yielded no blasts... I ended up getting pregnant naturally 2 months later and again a few years later so I think the protocols he picked were not a great match. This was a decade ago though so perhaps protocols have improved since then.

Another warm recommendation for Dr. Levens!
