Hamburger Helper copy recipe? (potato stroganoff)

Anonymous
Does anybody have a good copycat recipe for “potato stroganoff” hamburger helper? How do I replicate the deep beefy flavor in it, is that just bullion?

I am NOT a troll, we do NOT need a 10 page thread on class issues! I hust want a recipe, DCUM!

That sounds good, I don't have an answer but want to preempt the hate you'll get lol. I never had potato stroganoff but I do find cooking noodles with a can of Campbell's cream of mushroom and a packet of Lipton Beefy onion gets the HH type flavor.

I’ve also never had potato stroganoff but I do make some delicious beer cheese sloppy Joes that perhaps you could modify by adding potatoes and serving with pasta rather than on a bun?

Don’t they still make the HH noodle stroganoff? Is the flavor similar? If so, maybe get a box of sour cream and chives potatoes— or whatever flavor you think would work the best. Substitute the potatoes for the noodles, and see if it comes close to what you’re trying to recreate. I’ve never had the potato stroganoff, so this suggestion is just my best guess.

Try the beef Better Than Bouillon to see if that has the flavor that you’re looking for.

OP, I was curious. There are multiple copycat recipes out there, but why not just buy a box of potato stroganoff— if that’s what you really want?
