Dow was down over 1000 to start, then flipped up to positive, now dropping again over 500 points. |

In January, our economy was sound. Then Trump started firing people and removing federal spending from the economy. Then these stupid badly-conceived tariffs - people are spooked.
There's no cyclical reason for a recession right now but there's every other reason. So the markets are going down. The money is still there, so people are buying the dip. But they cannot unspook people, or unfire or unremoved or untariff. |

Trump and this administration is MORONIC.
Now that the economy and markets are crashing, he's trying to hint that he's open for negotiations and may even pause tarriffs now. He did this same stuff over and over during his first term and thinks he can do it again. How in the world can business be conducted in an environment like this where his policies change every hour? Newsflash: it can't. I hope this time his whipsawing to manipulate the markets doesn't work anymore, and the economy collapses and the markets crash no matter what he says. This moron wants to bring manufacturing back, or so he claims. That requires businesses to invest billions upon billions of dollars and years of planning to do that. What business in their right mind though would plan to bring manufacturing back of Trump changes his mind on tarriffs every 2 goddamn minutes like a spastic psychopath? No one is going to bring manufacturing back because no one can plan with Trump on office. He is a demented, senile Boomer causing absolute chaos. |
