Do you think Online church is a thing of the pass? COVID?
I am healthy, but I am lazy so I like going to church on Youtube is that bad? |
Only if you think it's bad. and if you don't pledge. Churches need money, like any other business. |
if you are staying home, you are not "going to church."
|
Better than nothing! Our church does two services online each week and has dozens of people who consider themselves part of the church but only attend online. |
A lot of people attend online! Our church has a chat feature so you can interact with others watching online. I do this when I am sick. |
Plus one. Folks can attend Bible studies, book clubs and sometimes support groups online at our church. I much prefer going in person and seeing people but it is no problem for people who prefer to attend online. |
Online church is great for families with neurodiverse children who aren’t served by the in-person experience.
To me, it’s no different than people who watch the mega churches on TV. |
It might make you feel good, but it’s not a substitute for attending in person and building a community with like-minded people. We were created to be relational beings - nothing about church online is relational. Not even a chat box. |
Praising God is more important than socializing |
And people at church are not thrilled to put up with your neurodiverse kids. |
I love church online. My elderly parent can only go to church this way and it makes him feel part of the community. I find it convenient. I can watch multiple services.
Anyway, I’m a huge fan. |
It’s fine. As long as you donate they don’t care. Most people go for social connections. |
Spoken like a true Christian. |
Almost every church i know streams their services live. I prefer church this way. I don't want to shake strangers hands even before covid. |
My church invested in the tech needed to make a hybrid experience possible. It is great for all kinds of reasons (members too old, traveling, tied down with kids or illnesses, etc). |
