| We try not to spend much at Walmart but lately it's getting ridiculous. We try to buy just what we need food laundry detergent pet food . We buy quite a bit of generics when we can . We buy goodnites for our son I don't know how parents with kids in diapers full time do it . Is anyone else struggling with groceries being high . Sorry for the rant after spending 300 on one cart it's crazy . |

Ordering online has helped me quite a bit. I think it is because I spend no money on impulse buys, I'm able to compare prices and buy what is on sale more easily when I look at it online, and I plan my meals around sale stuff more easily.
I feel somewhat overwhelmed at the grocery store, even when I have a list. |
| No, it's great! My kids are learning to enjoy beans and rice. |
| Yes, been struggling since 2021. Gone are the days of filling my cart, not Walmart, for $275 |

Ditch the pull ups. Buy training underwear and plastic underwear covers. Throw down an old towel just in case. Much cheaper just a bit more laundry.
Do you meal plan or just buy whatever? |
| What's interesting too is since 2021, filling my cart at Aldi doubled from about $125 to over $200. |
| Buy your meat in bulk, get a bigger freezer if you need to. It will pay for itself. |
| Buy food in bulk when on sale and freeze it . Try store brand pull-ups or order in bulk from samsclub . |
| Stop shopping at Walmart. |
| Op here Walmart is our closest store by far . |
| We do 99% of our shopping at Costco / BJ’s now. It’s amazing the savings you can get while buying in bulk. I cringe when I see what Walmart/Target charges for a smaller quantity of the same item. I have one in diapers still so I get it. |

Yes, prices just keep going up and unfortunately are going to go up even more now with the tariffs. For all those who voted for Trump because of inflation - are you happy now?
We can afford it but I still find myself watching sales and going to different stores. And I just started to try to stock my pantry of shelf stable foods because everything is just going to get more expensive over the upcoming months. Even canned goods are expected to go up in price due to steel and aluminum tariffs. |

We are list shoppers and use weekly meal plans. We also shop in bulk at Costco but are careful that what we buy there is needed and also a good price. If I’m not sure if something is a good deal at Costco, I will literally do a price check online before buying. We rarely if ever impulse buy things, including food.
So yes maybe things have gone up a tiny bit (hi eggs!) but it’s probably no more than $10-15 a week which we can absorb. |
| I agree with the poster referencing the online shopping option. Being able to compare items and also see real time the cost in your cart is really helpful. |

Yes.
I argued the price of a sale item at customer service the other over $2 difference. Watching every dollar like a hawk that leaves my wallet. And it's no secret mfr reduced their quantity. No longer a 6oz yogurt cup, but now 4oz, for example, but the price still stays the same. |
