Millions across the country and still more world wide.

I just got home from one in a suburb of Chicago. There was a huge turnout. I'm guessing there were around 1500 people. There were about 50 Trump supporters. It was a peaceful protest. The only ugliness I saw was a Trump supporter with a microphone yelling insults at anyone who walked by.

Sad turn out?

Prior to the inauguration, my involvement in politics was limited to voting for POTUS, making minor donations and ignoring politics. I just returned from a protest. Three weeks ago, I wrote/emailed/called my senators and representatives for the first time in my life because some of you on here were so persuasive. Politically engaged, savvy and influential people online (including many of you here on DCUM) are having an impact on passive, compliant citizens like me. What the resistance is doing is working on many of us who were previously difficult to reach.

Keep going.

Really good turnout in DC, Boston, NYC, Norfolk and Raleigh. Those are just the ones I know about.

Great turnout in Chicago, downtown. I'm encouraged that people all over the world are protesting.

Great turnout in DC! Peaceful, energetic, inspiring. Jamie Raskin was tremendous. I was impressed by Maxwell Frost as well.

This is so petty for me to say - but I wish we had some protest music. Music is the language of the heart..
