Bedwetting help

Anonymous
Our older son is 9 and he still has a bedwetting problem . He wets most nights . We just have him wear goodnites and try to keep his confidence up . Our problem is his little brother is now trained day and night at 2.5 years old . We have been putting a pull-up on hom at night just to use them up and to not shame our older son . How do we handle this delicate situation ?

My kid finally stopped wetting at age 12. We used one of those night time underwear alarms.

He will outgrow it. Leave him alone.

My ds took forever. We tried everything short of meds. It just takes time bc once he hit 10 or 11 it changed 100%. Just use the pull ups until then. Make him go before bed etc.

op here we do leave him alone and don't give him any grief over it .

I had the same situation but there was no embarrassment at all. Why does this embarrass the older child? Kids are different.

Op here it bothers him a little that his younger brother doesn't need them . It unfortunately runs in the family his dad and I both wet fairly late so the poor kid doesn't stand a chance . So trust me we treat it as no big deal .

Just tell him everyone is different.
This really isn’t a big deal.

almost the same with my 12 year old, only had 2 accidents last month, and a few before that, hopefully I am almost done buying pull-ups.

Have a 8 year old son who still wets most nights . Goodnites stay on our shopping list for now . Easier to throw a pull-up away in the morning than deal with wet sheets.

Anyone kid still use regular diaper for overnight? We tried the pull-ups a couple times and the regular diapers hold up better overnight in our experience. Also they tend to be cheaper so that’s another plus.

Therapee was amazing for us. We had several really tough nights and then, like a miracle, no more accidents. I think it is really hard to outgrow nighttime wetting when you are wearing a Pull-Up/GoodNite and not getting the normal cues that you have peed.
