Any recommendation on Dr. Levy with SGF Rockville?

Anonymous
We are about to start initial IVF consultation process, but they need us to pick a physician before consultation and we were told we could not change physician once the process kicks off. Any recommendation on Dr. Michael Levy with SGF Rockville? He is co-founder of the clinics but we are not sure if he still practices as much. Much appreciated.

He was fabulous, but my kids are in college now. I am impressed with his stamina if he is still practicing.

I used Dr. Levy in 2022. While he is pleasant enough to talk to, I don't think he's a very involved doctor in terms of patient interaction. The positive is that I did not find him pushy and he patient when I was having a hard time deciding on a procedure. The negative is that he did not "hold my hand" through the process (I did not need it though). I dealt mostly with his nurse. She was the one that walked me through the IVF process step by step, who called me with testing results and answered all my questions. She was the middle man that went to Dr. Levy and communicated his recommendations. Out of the whole process, I only saw him once at an ultrasound (he didn't do it but stopped by with a new doctor), he did 1 of my 3 egg retrievals and he called me with my day 6 embryo results 1 of 3 times.

PP here, forgot to mention that Dr. Levy also did not do my FET and I never saw him after. I did get pregnant and I know his nurse wanted me to schedule my last appointment at SGF on a day he was working but our schedule didn't work out that way.

question for you OP:

- are you a man or a woman?

He did my last retrieval on a Sunday morning (Mother's day 2025) and he was amazing. He is one of the few doctors that has ever seemed to genuinely have hope for our circumstance, and I think that makes a difference.
