What’s happening w/ the old 4H bldg on CT Ave?

I noticed a handful of police cruisers there one evening this week. The cars and officers were blocking off both driveway entrances, like they were making sure nobody entered (rather than if they had been responding to an incident).

I wonder if someone was touring it? Like a fed?

I think it’s becoming a retirement home.

It will take a few years but this is the plan:

Not sure why the police were there but maybe they were patrolling?

They definitely weren’t patrolling. There were 2 or 3 cruisers blocking both driveways and the cops were just standing by the cars chatting. There were big black suvs parked by the actual main entrance to the building—which is why I thought feds.

Isn't this the building in Chevy Chase? If it is the town of Chevy Chase (or was it Chevy Chase Village), they are "special" they even have own police.

Chevy Village is the one with its own police and the 4H center is not in Chevy Chase Village.
